Fabulous Parting Gifts From Our DSrupted Sponsors
September 7, 2014 by Dave Haynes
We’ll have some genuinely “fabulous parting gifts” for the folks who register and attend DSrupted next week in Toronto.
Google and Rise Vision – Google’s Vidya Nagarajan is our lead-off speaker and Rise is an event sponsor – have very kindly offered up 10 Asus Chromeboxes, teeny put powerful little devices that Rise already has in the field happily running digital signage schedules as a Chrome OS app.
We’ll draw for 10 lucky winners among registered attendees.
Then PATTISON Onestop, another sponsor and Canada’s largest privately-held OOH media company, is going to draw at the event for an Oculus Rift virtual reality thingdoodle (that may not be the actual technical term). It’s that virtual reality headset that looks like an old set of welding goggles to the people observing but is crazily cool for the person actually wearing them.
In the spirit of out Internet of Things discussions, event host TELUS has six Fitbit Flex fitness and sleep trackers that will be drawn.
Working on some other prizes, as well. DSrupted’s sponsors also include LG, Cineplex Digital Solutions and the Digital Signage Federation, which is holding a mixer next Tuesday night in downtown Toronto, ahead of DSrupted.
DSrupted in now next week – gulp – but there’s still time to register. I’ve chatted with several people who’ve said, “we’re coming …” So to them, do me a favor and register soonest so I can lock down some things like food orders.
If you’ve been on the fence, hop off and sign up. Take a day to learn from five subject matter experts – none who paid to get their time with a mike – talk about emerging technology and its impact and implications for digital signage. Best $335 your company will spend.
And you might lave with a fabulous parting gift.
