Open Source Xibo Software Gets Upgrade

The UK-based open source digital signage software project Xibo has released a new version of its code, the first big release since early 2011.
Xibo 1.4.0 (which has the codename Brorsen) has 27 new features and fixes 108 bugs. It looks to have some fairly advanced features for a free platform on both the design and device management sides. It’s obviously not the sort of thing a very large network would take on board, but for a corporate network run out of the IT department, this could probably do the job.
